Yesterday I teamed up with amateur model Janey, photographer Andrew Appleton and his wife and make-up artist Helen for a car-based photoshoot.
The first set was intended to be based around a “Top Gear” theme with static and tracking shots at an airfield but at the last minute we could not use that location, so went for some static shots alone.
Then on to a different location for a darker themed shoot with a dodgy individual (me) and a femme fatale (Janey).
The raw images looked great on the camera and I can’t wait to see what Andrew comes up with post-production.
Same show, different venue and this time it was just the kilt!
My first catwalk show!
On 31st January, I took part in a catwalk show showcasing wedding clothing for a number of outlets in NE Lincolnshire.
The outfits chosen for me included a kilt…
When is an extra not an extra? I received an e-mail the other day looking for an extra to fly from Norwich (my local airport) to Dublin and return with an offer of a small payment for the work.
There was no website associated with the e-mail address so I e-mailed them to ask for more details of what they required and what the work was to be – promotional, film, TV, etc. – but received no reply so I chose not to turn up on spec.
It transpires that this was in fact Flybe simply seeking to boost traffic numbers to avoid a £280,000 penalty. Full story on the BBC’s News website here »
Just a quick update on my last news item: the working title of the short film is “Match”. You can also catch up on news about the film’s production on Sherri Lombardelli’s blog.
I am taking a part as a supporting actor in a short film to be shot in Nottingham, playing the role of the lead character’s father. The director is Sherri Lombardelli who I have not worked with before and the role will be partly improvised so it should be a fun challenge.
Filming is due to take place later this month: watch for a short clip on this site when the film is released.
